Middle meningeal artery to basilar artery

Case #1

Case #1a

AP left vertebral injection

In this case, the middle meningeal artery has a direct connection with the basilar artery.  This is likely through an enlarged trigeminal branch which connects to the middle meningeal artery. Embolization of the  arteriovenous fistula (AVF) could be fatal.

Case #1b

Lateral left vertebral injection

Same case as above showing the direct basilar to middle meningeal artery connection.
