Ascending pharyngeal artery, inferior tympanic artery to caroticotympanic artery of the internal carotid

Case #1

Case #1a

The internal carotid artery origin is occluded. There is reconstitution of the petrous portion of the internal carotid by an anastomotic connection between the inferior tympanic artery of the ascending pharyngeal artery and the caroticotympanic artery of the internal carotid.

The internal carotid artery is also receiving retrograde blood flow through the ophthalmic artery. The anterior deep temporal artery and the frontal branch of the superficial temporal artery contribute to the retrograde ophthalmic blood flow.
