History:
23-year-old woman with right lower quadrant pain, nausea, and vomiting. Pregnancy test was negative.
Tasks
- Identify the study and the organization of the images
- How was this study performed (where was the transducer placed)
- Identify the major anatomic structures
- Identify possible abnormalities
- Based on the images and clinical history, think of some possible conditions or diseases that may be present
- What are the possible roles of imaging in this clinical situation
- Which other tests might be appropriate, and if there are multiple tests, how would you choose among them
