Series 1 & 2.  SCOUTS

• Axial & Sagittal
• Cover both breasts
• Sagittal – 5 slices through midline of each breast

Series 3.  SAG T2 FSE

• Affected breast only
• Scan Left to Right

Series 4.  AXIAL T1 FSE

• Scan top to bottom
• Affected breast only

Series 5.  SAG T2 FAT SAT

• Match #3

Series 6.  DYNAMICS 

• Always cover both breasts
• Match series 3, then add rx of other breast
• Run Pre gad series, inject 1.5 dose gad, delay 20 sec
• Run 3 POST phases (20s, 3 min, 6 min)

Series 7.  AXIAL POST GAD FAT SAT SPGR

• Always image both breasts
• Match #4

SUBTRACTION IMAGES: DYNAMIC SERIES

• 1^ST PHASE MINUS  PRE GAD= new save series
• 3^RD PHASE MINUS  PRE GAD= new save series
• Both left and right breasts

• Have Radiologist choose suspicious regions
• Label region by quadrant (i.e. right upper outer) and letter (A, B, C) if there is more than one area per quadrant
• Screen save the image with the ROI cursor first, then save the graph
